Our Mission
Welcome to Mrs. Tuesday’s Cottage School, a holistic, nature-based, Waldorf-inspired preschool nestled on five magical acres of land where childhood is honored, wonder is nurtured, and learning is alive with joy. Surrounded by whispering trees, winding hiking trails, and with the state park as our backyard, our setting is a living classroom—rich with opportunities for discovery, connection, and growth.
At the heart of our program is a deep respect for the natural rhythms of childhood. We believe that children thrive in an environment where they feel safe, seen, and free to explore at their own pace. Each day, your child will be immersed in meaningful play, seasonal storytelling, songs, handcrafts, and rich sensory experiences that encourage creativity and build a strong foundation for lifelong learning.
We spend most of our days outdoors, rain or shine, allowing children to develop a lasting bond with the earth and an intuitive sense of the world around them. Whether hiking through the woods, tending the garden, or picnicking under the sky, the children engage in purposeful movement and nature-based learning that strengthens both body and spirit.
Rooted in the principles of Waldorf education, our curriculum nurtures the whole child—head, heart, and hands—with an emphasis on imagination, rhythm, and community. Our days follow a gentle, predictable flow that helps children feel grounded and secure, while our lessons unfold organically through stories, seasonal activities, and practical life skills.
